Acupuncture

Acupuncture is an old healing practice of traditional Chinese medicine dating back over 4,000 years. It still remains effective today as a way to strengthen the body rather than merely treating symptoms. It is primarily used to relieve pain as well as treat other conditions. More than 3 million Americans and 200,000 children in the U.S. have had acupuncture to help relieve a symptom or condition. Because of its low side effects, it has been the treatment of choice for many doctors across the country. It is even more popular in other countries.

Acupuncture is a holistic approach to healthcare, meaning that it focuses on the whole person, not just the symptoms of a condition. It is used to promote health and wellness by rebalancing the body’s energy, or qi. Acupuncture works by stimulating specific points on the body. Through the insertion of thin needles into the skin, the body’s energy pathways, or meridians, are stimulated, allowing for the healing process to start. This is done to regulate the flow of qi, which can be blocked due to stress, injury, or disease. Acupuncture is used to reduce pain, promote relaxation, and improve overall health.

The World Health Organization recognizes acupuncture as an effective treatment for over 40 medical conditions. It has been used to treat chronic pain, digestive issues, gynecological disorders, and even mental health issues such as stress and anxiety. Acupuncture is a safe and effective treatment that can be used alone or in combination with other methods of treatment. It is a great way to improve overall health, reduce stress, and promote relaxation.

Headaches/ Migraines

Nine out of ten Americans say that they suffer from headaches. Some of these people experience headaches frequently. Some experience constant headaches that are very painful. These can even make a person nauseous. Ninety-five percent of headaches are tension, migraine, or cluster headaches. These types of headaches are not caused from a disease, but from something in your body that is not sitting correctly.

Tension Headaches

Tension headaches are the most common type of headache. They can occur when the muscles of the head, neck and scalp become tense. They can last from 30 minutes to several days. Symptoms of a tension headache include a dull, aching pain, tightness or pressure around the head, and pain at the back of the neck and shoulders.

Migraine Headaches
Migraine headaches are very intense and can cause intense pulsing or throbbing pain. They can last anywhere from four to 72 hours. Symptoms of a migraine headache include nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light, sound, and odors, lightheadedness, and auras. Aura includes seeing zig-zag lines, flashing lights, and halos.

Cluster Headaches
Cluster headaches are very severe and occur in short, yet intense bouts. These headaches usually strike around the same time each day and can last from 15 minutes to three hours. Symptoms of a cluster headache include intense burning or piercing pain behind one eye, drooping eyelid, tearing eyes, stuffy nose, and facial sweating.

Auto Injuries

Even a “minor” crash can result in serious injuries like ligament sprains. This can lead to chronic pain and disability if not treated properly. In fact, research shows that early treatment is the best way to prevent long-term symptoms. Chiropractic adjustments are effective because they help restore the healthy, normal function of your nervous system without the use of drugs or surgery. Auto injuries can be devastating and should never be taken lightly.
